Hey, what’s up, everyone? I am back with another quarantine story of my life! This blog post will take you through the products and applications of one of my favorite skincare brands. I am sure you must have heard the hype of the ordinary brand. It is also so, that some have great results from its application, while some may not. I suggest you try and then decide. Never have I ever dealt with something like this in my life- Acne. My sisters happen to be makeup and skincare expert. They send me a huge basket of goodies! Exciting, right? A few of the products became my absolute favorite and shortly thereafter its application, my skin became more clear and positive leading to increased confidence in me. 'The Ordinary' changed my skin. Ever since I remember, my skin has been dry. Other than that, I didn't face any hurdles. However, I was diagnosed with PCOD a couple of years ago. That leads to thick hair growth on my face. As a result of which, I started laser services from Laser Away about 8-9 months ago. My face was now hairless and as soon as I started to feel better, the dryness part became so obstinate that I had to put the lotion every other hour (my skin is makeup-free for most days of the week). And then, Quarantine hit our happy lives and Laser Away terminated their services and now the skin is left with acne, dryness, and whatnot. That’s when the ordinary came into the picture. Here’s my morning routine:
That’s it, my morning routine consists of these three basic steps. I also add toner to my skincare, but honestly, I haven’t found the best toner for skin type just yet. Night routine: My night is almost the same as the daily routine, I just add another product to it, which is:
For Chronic Acne, Breakout prone skin, here are some of my recommendations: 1. Niacinamide +Zinc10%: This product helps controlling sebum (oil) in the pores, and ultimately controlling and clearing acne. I suggest using this serum both AM AND PM after cleansing before moisturizing. 2. Salicylic acid mask: Salicylic Acid Mask helps in decongestion of pores, the charcoal, and clays infused in the formula help in removing facial impurities. I have recently started using this product and I am seeing the total difference. I was recommended to use this up to 2 times a week- use it on full-face one time and just on acne spots the 2nd time. It appears to be working as a brilliant acne spot treatment. 3. Lactic acid 5% - this is a chemical exfoliator which offers mild exfoliation to enhance the appearance of visibly smoother and brighter skin, it also helps with textural irregularities of the skin. I use it 2 times a week, you can also use more depending on your skin type and how much you exfoliate generally, but use it only at NIGHT TIME. Application: After you cleanse your face, use lactic acid on your face and leave overnight. If your skin is dry, you can use moisturizer, otherwise, let the lactic acid can penetrate deep in the skin and clear out pores. This blogpost is not sponsored by any brand. I wanted to share this with you because skincare can be very expensive, and not all of us can afford it. The ordinary skincare is SUPER AFFORDABLE, and the results are great. So, hop on to their website or to Sephora to buy them. In the comments below, leave the product of your choice of brand and I’ll be more than interested to have a look at it. Until then, goodbye, and see you with a new blog post very soon.

Acne has always been my biggest insecurity growing up. I always used to cover half of my face with a handkerchief because I could not stand people looking at my face. I know that they feel disgusted by what they are seeing and that makes me feel humiliated. I have tried so many skin care products before, but none of them really worked on my skin. The Ordinary was recommended to me by my mother's dermatologist friend. I was hesitant at first as I have tried so many brands before, but it worked well on my skin and I started to notice my acne fading away after just two months of using it.
